Project Description

As part of a comprehensive refurbishment of two boarding houses at a private school, our team was responsible for the replacement of outdated and deteriorated timber sash windows with modern, energy-efficient UPVC alternatives. The works were confined to the first and second floors of both buildings.

Scope of Works:

  • Supply and installation of 80 new UPVC double-glazed sash windows
  • White internal and external finishes to match existing aesthetics
  • Careful removal of original timber sash windows, including protective measures to manage lead-based paint hazards
  • Reinstatement of decorative brickwork around window reveal

Key Outcomes:

  • Timely and successful installation of high-performance windows
  • Improved energy efficiency and enhanced external appearance
  • Completion of works within a tight 6-week program
  • Preservation and restoration of key architectural features
