Project Description
This project involved the installation of new triple glazed windows, glazed panels and a emergency escape door in the swimming pool of One Leisure, St Ives. The existing windows had reached the end of their life and needed replacing whilst the leisure facilities remained in full operation.
Scope of Works:
The detailed scope included:
- Replacement of 23 no. top poolside windows
- Replacement of the bottom poolside windows
- Replacement of viewing balcony windows
- Installation of emergency escape door with push bar and vision panels
As the swimming pool remained open to public throughout the contract, the window installations were undertaken during night shifts when the pool was closed. Close liaison with the leisure centre management ensured that the works were completed in a timely manner without disrupting the daily activities within the building.
