PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The external fire remediation works at Viridian Square focused on targeted balcony and basement fire safety upgrades across Blocks A, B and E. Works included the replacement of existing timber balcony decking with compliant non-combustible alternatives, together with cavity closing works to ventilation grilles located within the basement car park areas:
– Removal and replacement of timber balcony decking to Blocks B & E
– Installation of compliant non-combustible decking systems
– Cavity closing works to ventilation grilles within basement car parks
– Targeted fire stopping and remediation works to improve compartmentation
– Phased working strategy to maintain safe resident access throughout
All remediation works were delivered within a carefully coordinated four-week programme, requiring close planning and sequencing to minimise disruption to residents and maintain safe access throughout the estate.
PHASED OCCUPATION/’LIVE ENVIRONMENT’
R J O’Neill implemented a resident-focused communication and access strategy to ensure minimal disruption and maintain safe living conditions during the programme. Internal condition surveys were managed through our QR-code booking system, allowing residents to arrange appointments efficiently and at convenient times.
