Project Description

R J O’Neill were appointed to deliver a comprehensive package of fire safety remediation works to three residential apartment blocks in Bow, Tower Hamlets. This government-funded project aimed to address and rectify significant fire risks identified during prior investigations.
Each block ranged between six and nine storeys and was previously clad in a combination of aluminium panels, insulated render, and timber cladding—all of which were found to be non-compliant and posed a serious fire hazard. Our primary responsibility was to remove the existing cladding and insulation and install a new wall build-up designed to achieve EWS1 compliance, ensuring long-term fire safety and regulatory alignment.
