Located off Upper Richmond Road in Putney, Tileman House is a residential building containing 58 flats above commercial premesis on the ground and first floors. The residences are spread over six to ten storeys across the footprint. Following an external survey the was advised to remove and replace the existing external wall insulation and cavity fire barriers and replace with compliant materials. The existing facade is a mixture of brickwork and reconstituted stone rainscreen panels.
This scope of the remediation comprises the following elements:
Removal of the existing brickwork
Careful storage of the bricks for re-installation following installation of new cavity barriers/insulation
Removal of existing insulation
Installation of new cavity barriers
Re-installation of brickwork
Removal of existing reconstituted stone rainscreen cladding systems
Install new cavity barriers and external wall insulation
Install new cladding systems
The building will remain fully occupied throughout the works.
